Professor Martin Booth has been elected to fellowship of the SPIE and the Institute of Physics

Prof Martin Booth

Prof Martin Booth has been elected to a fellowship of the Institute of Physics (IOP).  The IOP is the professional body and learned society for physics in the UK and Ireland. Prof Booth has previously served on the IOP Optical Group Committee and as General Chair of the IOP Photon conferences in 2016 and 2018. 

Prof Martin Booth has also been elected as a fellow of SPIE - the international society for optics and photonics.  Each year, SPIE promotes Members as new Fellows of the Society and this year honours 72 new Fellows of the Society. Fellows are Members of distinction who have made significant scientific and technical contributions in the multidisciplinary fields of optics, photonics, and imaging. They are honored for their technical achievement and for their service to the general optics community and to SPIE in particular.
