Markella graduated from the National Technical University of Athens with an integrated master in Mechanical Engineering, in 2018. She worked as a research associate in academia for a year. Past internships include working at a thermal power plant and in industrial hydroturbine R&D. She joined the research group in Michaelmas Term 2019 is currently pursuing a DPhil in Wind Turbine Wake Analysis and Modelling, funded by the CDT in Wind and Marine Energy Systems and Structures and E.On.
