Outdoor-Indoor Propagation :Temporal Stability

A set of measurements was undertaken to assess the temporal stability of the channel with both the transmitter and receiver antennas in fixed positions. Thus, any variation observed in the impulse responses are due to motion in the environment. In this particular case the moving objects include personnel and vehicular traffic from a nearby road. The measurements that formed this part of the study consisted of obtaining the channel impulse responses under two conditions:

          1 No local personnel movement (within the room)
          2 Personnel movement within the room (3-4 people moving about in random fashion)
 

Note: channel impulse responses were obtained at a rate of 1 response per second. The blue trace is for the case of no local personnel motion, whilst the red trace shows the results with local movement within the room.
