Susannah Cooke, D.Phil Student in Engineering Science

Academic Background

Susannah graduated from the University of Oxford with a first class MEng in Engineering Science in 2004. After completing her degree, Susannah was employed in the railway industry by Bombardier Transportation and Siemens Mobility, working on rolling stock maintenance and reliability. She returned to academia in 2012 and joined the Tidal Energy Research Group at Oxford, with funding from the SuperGen UK Centre for Marine Energy Research.

Research Interests

Susannah's research focuses on analytical methods for analysing the behaviour of tidal turbine arrays, as well as experimental work to validate and develop these to provide simple tools for array design.
