Wing Modelling Materials

The files in this folder provide a mesh of the RAE104 aerofoil in a 2D slice at zero incidence. Also some full wings meshes of a cambered aerofoil section are included. You need to load these into Workbench using import mesh from the meshing section You can scale the units to any that you need. The meshes are rough and ready but should provide a reasonable indication of the pressure, lift and drag of the aerofoil at low speeds. For easy solution run at speeds of under 100 m/s. Start with the 2-D RAE104 section and run at different angle of incidence. Then increase the flow speed, refine the mesh and model the incoming gas compressibly to see if you are able to see the shock structures from your experiments
