Research Studentship in Regenerative Medicine Technology

4-year D.Phil studentship, available immediately (subject to eligibility requirements below).

Research Area

The Studentship is part of a project on the interdisciplinary area of regenerative medicine technologies being undertaken by the University of Oxford in the CRMI Technology Centre (directed by Professor Zhanfeng Cui).

The objective of the project is to develop strategies to enable translation of regenerative medicine technologies. The studentship will involve work on "Cell Immunotherapy".

The student will be a member of the Tissue Engineering Research Group and be supervised by Professor Zhanfeng Cui. Further information on the group can be found at http://www.ibme.ox.ac.uk/research/regenerative-medicine/tissue-engineering

Award Value

The studentship covers all University fees at the level set for UK/EU and non-UK/EU students plus a stipend (tax-free maintenance grant) of £15,000 p.a. for the first year, and at least this amount for a further two years. The studentship also covers the payment of College Fees (c. £3,021 p.a.).

Eligibility

This studentship is available to all applicants that meet the candidate requirements.

Candidate Requirements

Prospective candidates will be judged according to how well they meet the following criteria:

  • A master's degree in a relevant field, such as Biochemical Bioprocess Engineering or Tissue and Cellular Engineering;
  • Research experience in Cell Immunotherapy;
  • Excellent English written and spoken communication skills;
