Prof. David Hills

Professor of Engineering Science

David Hills came to Oxford as a university lecturer in 1984. His principal interests are in fracture mechanics, contact problems, fretting fatigue, and the development of eigenstrain procedures. His research is funded by EPSRC, Rolls Royce and the Civil Aviation authority. He has contributed to many paper in the open press, and written monographs in the first three subjects listed. Prof. Hills is a member of the editorial boards of the International Journal of Solids and Structures, and the Journal of Strain Analysis.
