We are seeking a full-time Postdoctoral Research Associate in Energy Storage Systems to join the Energy and Power Group at the Department of Engineering Science (central Oxford). The post is funded by Innovate UK and is fixed-term for 15 months or until 31 March 2020, whichever is sooner.
The successful candidate will be part of an industrially-led Innovate UK project called Hybrid Energy Storage Systems (HESS), with the aim of exploring the commercial and technical viability of hybrid energy storage solutions. You will be responsible for modelling and simulating energy storage components and systems, and bench testing a prototype HESS to assess performance.
You should hold a relevant PhD/DPhil or be near completion in engineering, physics, or an allied discipline. Your publications should demonstrate competency and experience with electrical/electronic system simulation and testing. You will be responsible for developing models, implementing them in software, and testing prototypes, and you will participate in group activities, project meetings, and external conferences.
