Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Trusted Cloud Computing

We are seeking a full-time Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Trusted Cloud Computing to join the Advanced e-Infrastructure and Cloud Computing research group at Oxford e–Research Centre, Department of Engineering Science and 100Percent IT. The post is funded by InnovateUK, is fixed-term for 3 years and is based at the offices of 100 Percent IT Ltd, Newbury, Berkshire.


The project builds on previous research within the group to create cryptographically secure cloud computing. You will be responsible for leading the development and documentation of the project, in all its phases. Carrying out research into the technical building blocks of the proposed product chain including Intel SGX, Openstack and Trusted Platform technologies, as well as the market landscapes to allow a detailed design phase to proceed.


You should possess a relevant PhD/DPhil (or be near completion) or equivalent experience with the possibility to underfill at Grade 6 (£28,660 - £31,302 p.a.) if the candidate holds a relevant degree/Masters and is working on PhD/DPhil together with relevant experience. Experience in Python, Windows and Linux development, a knowledge of trusted computing and an understanding of distributed systems, is also essential. You will be leading a significant project so must be willing to present that project commercially and academically.
