Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Smart Asthma Monitoring

We are seeking a full-time research assistant to join CIBIM at the Department of Engineering Science (Headington). The post is funded by NIHR and is fixed-term to 12 months.

The project involves the monitoring of night time asthma symptoms with a new sensor. You will be responsible for data collection and analysis, and are expected to have experience in prototype development of hardware and software. You will be responsible for literature review, design and delivery of technical research devices (hardware and software), interactions with study participants for set-up/troubleshooting, and associated data collection and data analysis.

Hold a relevant PhD/DPhil (or close to completion) or have evidence of extensive equivalent experience in a relevant professional engineering environment combined with a relevant first degree (or Masters). Experience in Prototype development and deployment in medical and life sciences research, including experiences of: rapidly prototyping and testing solutions to specification; working across disciplines in an inter-disciplinary team; familiarity with version control systems.
