We are seeking a full-time Research Group Manager to join the Dynamic Optics and Photonics research group at the Department of Engineering Science (central Oxford). The post is funded primarily by the European Research Council and the Wellcome Trust and is fixed-term for 3 years.
You will be part of an established team of expert researchers, who are working on projects ranging from microscope instrumentation, through adaptive optics, to laser machining systems. You will be involved in a wide range of research and will be responsible for coordination between programmes, including with collaborating research groups across other departments in Oxford. You will also be responsible for group management tasks, including equipment purchasing, project monitoring and safety coordination.
You should possess a PhD or have equivalent experience of work in a laboratory research environment. You should have good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively and independently are essential.
