We are seeking a full-time Postdoctoral Research Assistant to join the IARPA funded project under the DIVA and JANUS programmes. You will have the opportunity to work as part of the Visual Geometry Group at the Department of Engineering Science in central Oxford. The post is fixed-term for 2 years.
The objective of the project is to carry out fundamental research in order to develop the next generation of computer vision and learning algorithms to recognise humans, their actions and activities in videos.
You will be required to develop and implement novel computer vision and learning algorithms using architectures such as Convolutional Neural Networks or other learnable models. In addition you will contribute documented software to the project and write up results for conference and journal publications.
You should possess a doctorate, or near completion of doctorate, in computer vision or machine learning and expertise in image or video recognition and machine learning. You should have a strong publication record at principal computer vision and machine learning conferences and good communication skills.
