Senior Electrical Engineer

Grade 6: £28,098 - £33,518 with a discretionary range to £36,613 p.a.

We are looking for an experienced and proactive full-time Senior Electrical Engineer, one with positive and proactive approach, a commitment to provide excellent customer service and the flexibility to work in a changing environment. This is a permanent post.


You will be responsible for designing electrical work for a range of departmental building refurbishment projects through the full development cycle from inception through to completion in a timely, cost efficient manner and to excellent quality standard. You will be required to liaise with external contractors, obtain quotations, chair meetings, complete and check risk assessments and ensure that work is carried out in compliance with current statutory regulations.


Previous experience of managing projects and contractors is essential as well as a HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering/Mechanical or Building Services discipline. You should be proficient in the use of standard Auto CAD and Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project. You are also required to have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to use initiative and judgement to priorities a range of tasks and competing demands under pressure. A clean driving licence is desirable.
