Whole cell super-resolution using adaptive optics

New paper in the Cell shows adaptive optics enabled nanoscopy images.

A new super-resolution single molecule localisation microscope has been presented in a new paper in the journal Cell. The 4pi microscope has been developed as part of our group's long-term cooperation with Joerg Bewersdorf's group in Yale University. By incorporating adaptive optics correction via deformable mirrors in both arms of the 4pi microscope, we have implemented aberration correction that has enabled effective operation throughout the thickness of whole cells.
