Central research interests

  • The development of dynamic optics for interdisciplinary research applications.
  • Adaptive optics, wave front sensing and control for microscopy and optical engineering.
  • High-resolution optical microscopy for biomedical imaging and material characterisation.
  • Super-resolution microscopy, including STORM, STED and SIM.
  • Optical micromachining and fabrication for development of photonic devices.
  • Optical methods for control and observation of neural processes.
