Academic Background

William Beuckelaers graduated in 2014 as a civil engineer from the KU Leuven with Magna Cum Laude. During his studies he spent time at the TU Delft, U Mons and Manipal Institute of Technology. He is currently a second-year DPhil student working on the PISA project, being supervised by Prof. Harvey Burd and Prof. Guy Houlsby.

Research Interest

William’s research focusses on the dynamic interaction of the foundations for offshore wind turbines with the superstructure. He is particularly interested in advanced numerical methods to provide more accurate foundation models for the dynamic calculations of offshore wind turbines.
