Paul Bonar

Paul obtained a first class BE in Civil Engineering from NUI Galway in 2011, and an MSc with distinction in Sustainable Energy Systems from the University of Edinburgh in 2012. He then joined the Institute for Energy Systems at the University of Edinburgh, where his research is supervised by Prof Alistair Borthwick, Dr Vengatesan Venugopal, and Prof Thomas Adcock at the University of Oxford. His ongoing doctoral work explores both the social and ecological impacts of marine energy and the optimal arrangement of turbines in tidal channels.
