Mr Michael Mair

Michael graduated from the Technical University of Munich in 2015 with a MSc in Aerospace Engineering. He joined the Osney Thermofluids Laboratory for his PhD in Active Flow Control – Control of Tip Leakage Flow Dynamic. He is currently working on acoustically driven bistable fluidic switching devices and a novel concept of plasma-fluidic valves. His research interests are natural instabilties in free shear layers, fluid dynamics and their active flow manipulation to improve the system’s aerodynamic performance.
