REF results celebrated

The Mathematical, Physical and Life Sciences Division (MPLS) celebrated the outstanding achievements of Oxford University departments in the 2014 Research Excellence Framework (REF) assessment exercise at its Winter Party, which was held last week in St John’s College. In the REF exercise the Department of Engineering Science was ranked the best engineering department in the country.

Study sheds new light on impact of electric cars on global warming

New Technology Centre with China’s Regenerative Medicine Industry

China Bio-Med Regeneration Technology Limited (CBMRT) and the University of Oxford have just announced the establishment of a new centre for engineering focusing on stem cell therapies and tissue regeneration. The £7.5m collaboration between CBMRT and Oxford University will not only fund a new centre but also support 20 graduate studentships.

Outstanding Achievement Apprenticeship Award
