Outstanding Achievement Apprenticeship Award

Congratulations to Kathryn Scott, Engineering Science Administrative Assistant based at the Department’s Southwell Laboratory, who has been awarded the University of Oxford apprentice prize for outstanding achievement and progress. Kathryn was presented with her certificate and gift voucher by the Pro-Vice Chancellor for Personnel and Equality, Dr Stephen Goss, at a recent ceremony.

Kathryn Scott - Outstanding Achievement Apprenticeship Award Over the course of her three-year apprenticeship Kathryn has become a key member of the team performing at a consistently high level. Of particular note is Kathryn’s initiative, commitment and ability to learn new things. For example, Kathryn made an exceptional contribution to the Department’s objectives in facilitating appropriate additional purchasing to the value of £1.5 million through a time limited grant supporting the work of the Hypersonic Flow Facilities. Her contribution to the successful staging of a grant review meeting at St Anne’s College and towards the American Society of Mechanical Engineers Conference has also been exemplary.
