New president of MICCAI

Professor Alison Noble FREng, the Department's Director of the Institute of Biomedical Engineering, has been elected President of the Medical Image Computing and Computer Assisted Interventions (MICCAI) Society.

Professor Alison NobleThe MICCAI Society is an international organisation set up to promote medical image computing and computer assisted interventions research, education and practice.

The multidisciplinary nature of the Society brings together clinicians, bio-scientists, computer scientists, engineers, physicists, and other researchers who are contributing to, and need to keep abreast of, advances in medical image computing techniques, which have a wide range of applications in medicine and bioscience.

Professor Noble was elected a Fellow of the MICCAI Society in 2012 and has served on the Board of the Society since 2006.
