Award for best undergraduate project

Congratulations to Peter Forsyth (Trinity College), an undergraduate with the Department of Engineering Science, who has been awarded the Heat Transfer Society (hts) 'Best Undergraduate Project on Heat Transfer'.

The Heat Transfer Society (hts) is the UK’s leading society for those involved in heat transfer industries. Peter's project titled: "Understanding Development of Cooling Features in Gas Turbine Engines", has been recognised as the 'best heat transfer project report with potential benefits for industry, from a UK university undergraduate in the current academic year'.

Peter's project was supported by his supervisors, Associate Professors David Gillespie and Matthew McGilvray.

At the hts annual dinner, Peter was presented with a certificate, a cash prize and one year's membership to the the Heat Transfer Society.
