We plan to expand the Department to create larger clusters of academic staff working in targeted areas of research. For instance, we have recently made the decision to create a new Professorship of Sustainable Energy, and expect that research in this area will grow considerably. To achieve this we are seeking either short term funding or long term endowment of academic posts to secure the future of Engineering Science at Oxford.

We work closely with Colleges in support of staff at all levels from Research Fellowships, through University Lecturerships to Professorships. Almost all our academic staff hold joint posts with Colleges, with most of these being Tutorial Fellowships. We are always open to future opportunities to work alongside Colleges to secure the future of Engineering in Oxford.
